Day 1: Arrival at Leh
Upon arrival at Leh airport, our representative will pick you up and you’ll be driven to your hotel. The rest of the day is reserved for acclimatization as it’s mandatory to rest for 48 hrs after arrival at Leh airport. In evening you can leave to explore Leh city on foot. Visit Leh Palace offering the panoramic view of Leh city, Zorawar Fort and Shanti Stupa on a hilltop in Chanspa. Night stay is scheduled in Leh city.
Day 2: Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardungla (130 km 5-6 hrs)
As per the 8 days Kargil & Ladakh trip itinerary, today you’ll be driven to Nubra valley. Start early so you don’t miss the morning view of Leh city from Glacier Photography Point. While crossing one of the highest motorable roads of the world, halt at Khardungla for some refreshments. Khardung La pass also known as gateway to Nubra & Shyok Valleys, is now the second highest motorable road after UmlingLa Pass. Visit Diskit monastery & enjoy double humped camel ride at Hunder desert. Night stay at Nubra Valley.
Day 3: Turtuk Sightseeing
As per the Ladakh & Kargil tour itinerary, visit Turtuk Village today which lies in the Baltistan region. You’ll never forget the raod journey to this beautiful village in your entire life. People here are welcoming and really down to earth. Night stay is scheduled in Nubra Valley.
Day 4: Nubra Valley – Pangong Tso (250+ km 10-12 hrs.)
Early morning leave for the Pangong Tso as per your Ladakh tour itinerary. It will take you more than 10 hrs to reach. You’ll cross the villages of Shyok & Durbuk while drive near the bank of Shyok river. At Tangtse, visit ancient monastery named Tangtse Gompa offering beautiful views of the town. Night stay on the bank on Pangong Lake. This will mark the end of your 4th day of your Kargil & Ladakh taxi tour.
Day 5: Pangong Tso – Leh via ChangLa (150 km 7-8 hrs)
It’s time to head back to Leh today from Pangong Tso. You’ll be driven back to Leh today via ChangLa Pass (3rd highest motorable road in the world) as per your Kargil Ladakh tour itinerary for 8 days. On the way visit various monasteries of Hemis, Thicksey & Shey. Upon arrival at Leh, call it a day.
Day 6: Leh to Kargil (220 km 10-12 hrs.)
As per day 6 of Ladakh & Kargil taxi tour, you’ll be driven to Kargil today. On the way to Kargil halt at various exporable spots. Firstly visit the Spituk Monastery, followed by Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and gravity defying Magnetic Hill. Also you can enjoy river rafting at Sangam point. Don’t forget to visit Likir Monastery & Alchi Gompa on the way to Kargil. Nigh stay is scheduled at Kargil.
Day 7: Kargil to Leh (220 km 8-10 hrs.)
Kargil is the second largest town in the Leh district and the largest town in the Kargil tehsil, located on the banks of the Suru River. Follow the Ladakh Kargil tour itinerary and vist the War Memorial at Dras and pay homage to the valor of our brave hearts. On the way back to Leh halt to cherish the craft of Chamba Statue at Mulbekh. While crossing the Fotu La top & Namika La Top, have a sip to tea and relax. Don’t miss excursion to Lamayuru monastery on the way back to Leh from Kargil. Night stay is scheduled in Leh.
Day 8: Drop at Airport
This day will mark the end of your 6 days Kargil & Ladakh taxi tour. You’ll be dropped at Leh airport as per your flight timings. Take back plenty of memories to cherish for the lifetime.
