Kashmir 7 Days Taxi Tour with Vaishno Devi

Welcome to Jammu on your day 1 of Kashmir 7 Days Taxi package! Your journey begins when you arrive at the Katra railway station, where one of our representatives will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Freshen up before we commence our tour to the revered Vaishno Devi Temple, situated high up in the Trikuta mountains. A local guide (you can hire a guide from North India Taxi as well) will lead you on the scenic 13 km trek up to the sacred cave temple, making sure you pass smoothly through the security checkpoints. Once we reach the sanctum sanctorum, feel the holy atmosphere and energy that entrances millions of devotees every year. After paying our respects and collecting prasad, we'll descend back down the mountain and return to our hotel for a good night's rest.

After breakfast we'll check-out from our hotel in Katra and embark on one of India's most beautiful drives through the incredible mountain landscape of Kashmir in taxi, stopping along the way at Patnitop perched at 6,790 ft with panoramas of the Chenab basin. Indulge in some sightseeing of Patnitop and have lunch here before you continue our descent into the Kashmir Valley, all the way to the quaint hill station of Pahalgam - the Valley of Shepherds. Surrounded by alpine peaks and pine forests, the cool mountain air will rejuvenate you as you settle into your hotel for the night.  Day 2 of your Kashmir with Vaishno Devi trip will end in the coziness of your hotel bedroom.

The morning is dedicated to sightseeing in and around Pahalgam, starting with a visit to the picturesque Aru Valley followed by the Betaab Valley, famous for being the shooting location of the hit Bollywood film Betaab. Don’t forget to visit Chandanwari Glacier while you are on the magnificent 7 days taxi tour of Vaishno Devi & Kashmir. After lunch we'll drive for about 2 hours to Gulmarg, the 'Meadow of Flowers', considered by many as Asia’s premier ski resort. We'll ascend in a gondola lift to some 13,000 ft for an utterly surreal 360 degree panorama of the mighty Himalayas. In the evening, check in to your hotel in Gulmarg for an overnight stay.

After a delectable breakfast, you'll head upwards for Gulmarg sightseeing with the best taxi service in Kashmir. Strat this exciting morning of sightseeing at Khilanmarg followed by a leisurely walk around the picturesque seven lakes of Alpather. Stop for lunch before we make our way to Srinagar with our taxi service - the Summer Capital of Kashmir, with a vibrant legacy of gardens, houseboats and exquisite crafts. Upon arriving in Srinagar, check into your houseboat/hotel and spend the evening at your leisure strolling along Dal Lake.

After a traditional Kashmiri breakfast onboard your houseboat, we'll head out for a memorable day of sightseeing around Srinagar. We'll start with a tranquil Shikara ride on Dal Lake, soaking in views of lotus gardens & floating markets, followed by a visit to the iconic Mughal Gardens - Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh and Chashme Shahi. Later, we'll tour the 12th century Jamia Masjid and pass by the imposing Hari Parbat on way back to the hotel for another magical starlit night by the lake.  This marks the end of your fifth day of 7 days taxi tour of Kashmir with Vaishno Devi.

Pack your bags and wear your winter best as today we head to the breathtaking 'Meadow of Gold' - Sonmarg at an altitude of 9,000 ft nestled among snow-clad mountains against the backdrop of the Indus waters. Our first stop here will be the iconic Thajiwas Glacier where you can take a fun sledge/pony ride (on direct payment basis). Post a delicious picnic lunch we'll stop at the pristine Nilagrad River bank before returning to Srinagar by evening so you can rest up and do some last-minute shopping/packing.
